Heidi Caillier is an AD100 designer reinventing tradition to create beautiful and enduring interiors. Her projects, through her design studio Heidi Caillier Design, aren’t bound by a singular set of aesthetic codes, but are underpinned by a sense of feeling and intimacy.
This continually evolving and almost anonymous signature is what makes her one of the most respected names in the industry.
Drawing on the sentiment of nostalgia, Caillier believes that decor and furniture should possess a timeless quality which grows with the home. She places value on antiques, heirlooms and hand-crafted pieces, and celebrates imperfections and patinas rather than masking them. Along with her confident embrace of pattern and color—for which she is revered—these elements come together to create rooms which are cozy, elevated, and comfortable.
Growing her practice purely through a dedicated passion for design, Caillier’s lack of formal training gives her a unique vantage point. Unfiltered by conventions and well-trodden references, her intuition and natural flair see her draw from a well of eclectic influences. Aided by a small team from her studio in San Francisco, Heidi Caillier oversees high-end residential and hospitality projects across the US. And while location, architecture, and lifestyle inform the creative direction, it is the desires and lifestyle of every client which always steers the narrative.
Spaces designed by Caillier feel animated and authentic; have been featured in the pages of Architectural Digest, The Wall Street Journal, and Homes & Gardens; and have landed her on the prestigious Architectural Digest 100 and 1st Dibs 50 List.

Michael Imber, FAIA, is the principal architect of Michael G. Imber Architects, PLLC, a modern classical design firm based in San Antonio, Texas, and Santa Barbara, California, recognized for an architecture of material and craft that is in harmony with its landscape and local culture.
Michael G. Imber Architects has worked across the United States as well as in over a dozen countries. The firm’s projects have ranged from churches and seminaries, colleges, hotels, and town centers to ranches and houses, designed to be cherished for generations.
Michael’s work has been widely published, and he was recently named one of 25 “leaders” in a “Who’s Who in Traditional Architecture” by Traditional Building Magazine. He was the recipient of the Arthur Ross Award in 2007 for his contribution to civic and traditional architecture and has won nine national Palladio Awards and ten Staub Awards. In 2013, Michael released his first book, Ranches, Villas, and Houses, serving as a monograph devoted to his work, and in 2022 was named the Robert A.M. Stern Visiting Professor of Classical Architecture at Yale. He is the founding president of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art Texas Chapter and serves on the Lutyens Trust of America Advisory Board.
Michael’s latest book, The Art of the Architect, is a manifesto for maintaining the architect’s essential tool for seeing, translating, and responding to our environment. Michael makes a compelling case that architects are artists first, not merely technicians. Michael is now working on his third book, a monograph with Rizzoli, due in 2027.
Sara Zewde is founding principal of Studio Zewde, a design firm practicing landscape architecture, urbanism, and public art. Named to TIME magazine’s TIME100 Next, Architectural Digest’s AD100, and a United States Artists Fellow, her work is celebrated for design methods that sync culture, ecology, and craft.
In parallel with practice, Sara serves as associate professor of practice at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard University, a Master of City Planning from MIT, and a Bachelor of Sociology and Statistics from Boston University. She is also currently writing a book on Frederick Law Olmsted’s travels through the Slave South, to be published by Simon & Schuster in 2027.
