Hannah Chalew is an artist from New Orleans. Her artwork explores what it means to live in the age of climate change with an uncertain future looming, and specifically what that means for those of us living in Southern Louisiana.

“I’m thrilled to be an Artist-in-Residence at Longue Vue House and Gardens and be able to draw inspiration from the beautiful grounds. I’m looking forward to spending time learning about the extensive plant collections, especially the native plants, as I build a new body of work that explores what it means to live in Louisiana landscapes in a time of global warming and beyond.”
