Welcome back Junior Curators, Longue Vue’s new curatorial program for students ages 10-15!

Public speaking, archival research, and collections management are just a few of the skills

that students will develop in this two-part course.

This is a unique learning opportunity for students interested in the behind-the-scenes operations

of maintaining a historic cultural institution. Following a final presentation, graduates qualify

to lead public tours and assist with community programs at Longue Vue.

Part One: Spring 2022

This session will include projects in the Longue Vue archives and Visitor Center, plus a final research presentation.

Students interested in New Orleans history, museums, and hands-on archival research will complete

this course with an exciting and versatile new academic skill set.
