In compliance with mandates by the City of New Orleans and State of Louisiana, as well as CDC recommendations, the visitor experience is strictly monitored at Longue Vue at this time. Registration is required for admission, all guests must provide contact information, and tour group sizes are smaller than usual.

Longue Vue is closely monitoring the public health situation relative to COVID-19 and will announce any additional restrictions or loosening of restrictions when possible.

  • Reception is now located in the Entrance Court; all visitors must sign and provide contact tracing information before entering campus.

As of Monday, December 27, masks are required in all interior spaces of Longue Vue for both guests and staff. This includes our Gate House reception area, Edith & Edgar’s Museum Cafe, our Visitor Center and Museum Store, and during interior tours of the house museum. Masks will also be required during private events hosted in our Playhouse, Whim House, or other interior spaces. Guests are encouraged to social distance when appropriate, wash or sanitize hands regularly while at Longue Vue, and not visit Longue Vue if they are feeling sick.
