What does my venue rental at Longue Vue include?
Venue rentals at Longue Vue include tables, chairs, white linens, and staff support to help you set up your food and decor, direct caterers or other vendors, facilitate questions or requests throughout the event, and clean up at the end of the event. Venue rentals at Longue Vue do not include catering, cake, beverages, or servers/bartenders but our Sales & Marketing Director can assist you in recommending those vendors. Clients can request use of Longue Vue’s glassware depending on the size of your party. AV equipment including a projector, screen or microphone can be made available upon request for an additional AV Fee: $50. Prior to the event, your booking includes an on-site consultation with our Sales & Marketing team. 

What is the timeframe for a venue rental at Longue Vue?
For most events at Longue Vue, the client will have one hour before the start of the event to set up any outside food, decor, or other items. After the event has ended, the client will have one hour to clean up their personal items and pack up anything they are taking with them. Non-corporate events at Longue Vue, including showers and other celebrations or social gatherings, are two hours, not including set up or clean up time. For all-day meetings and company retreats, earliest arrival is at 7:45AM and all guests must exit by 4:30PM. 

What items am I not allowed to bring to Longue Vue for a private event venue rental?
Due to the historic nature of Longue Vue’s interior and exterior spaces, we do not allow candles or any type of flame on the property. This includes chafing dishes and candles. We also do not allow glitter or confetti of any kind. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property. Latex balloons are not allowed. Any other type of balloon or balloon display must be taken home after the event and disposed of off-property. 

Can I bring my dog to a private event at Longue Vue?
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets of any kind on our grounds. 

Do you have any preferred caterers that you work with?
Yes! Our Director of Sales & Marketing, Laren Holzer, keeps a running list of caterers and other vendors we have worked with in the past and can make recommendations based on your vision for your event. Any caterer or vendor beyond this list is also welcome as long as they are able to abide by our venue restrictions listed in this FAQ and as communicated by our Sales & Marketing team during the planning process. 

Does Longue Vue allow music at private events?
Longue Vue does not allow loud amplified music during private events such as large speakers, a DJ, or large band due to our location within a residential neighborhood. Clients may hire a harpist, violist, guitarist, or other string player or string group of their choice. This has to be approved by the Director of Sales.

How late can I host my event at Longue Vue?
Due to our location in a residential neighborhood, all events must end by 6:45PM to allow for guests to exit the property by 7PM at the latest. Longue Vue cannot facilitate any nighttime events. 

Where do my guests check in and where can they park?
Guests will pull up to the Gate House upon entry and be greeted by one of our guides. Our guides will then direct guests to one of two parking lots and provide directions from the parking lot to their designated venue space. Guides will also be available to direct caterers and other vendors to your event. We do not allow large buses to enter the property. We allow 21 passenger mini vans and sprinter vans.
