Curators & Cocktails, Saturday, May 27, 2023 2-4PM
Be inspired by the health and happiness benefits of the humble dandelion! On Saturday, May 27 from 2-4PM join Elizabeth Weinstein, Longue Vue Creative Resident and curator of the exhibition The Dandelion: A Symbol of Resilience as she discusses dandelion lore and the art on view. Afterwards, sip a dandelion-infused cocktail created by mixologist Alan Walter, known for his inventive combinations of fresh herbs and juices, homemade syrups, and unusual spirits.
Elizabeth Chubbuck Weinstein is an independent curator, museum consultant, and writer based in Baton Rouge. She has over twenty years of experience in the art industry.
Alan Walters is the creative force behind Brakes Bar, the speakeasy at Spoke and Hub Restaurant in Baton Rouge. He has honed his talent for two decades since first gaining notice in New Orleans at Iris Restaurant and later Loa Bar at the International House Hotel.

Join them as they lead an informal guided tour and share their personal insights into the exhibition’s theme, artistic expressions, and individual meanings behind their dandelion-inspired work.
