Welcome back Vue Crew Kids Garden Club!

Students ages 5 to 10 will spend their Saturdays learning about gardening techniques, making nature-based art, and exploring their connection to the natural world. Each meeting will have a seasonal theme. Vue Crew Kids Garden Club is a drop-off program. Parents are welcome to stay and enjoy our site or leave and return for pick-up.

Safety protocols based on CDC recommendations and city and state mandates are observed at all times.

Summer dates: Every first Saturday of the month

Time: 1:30PM to 3:30PM

Location: Discovery Garden & Education Center

Admission: $20; $10 for members

Upcoming meetings and themes:

June 4 – “Life Cycles”

In this week’s Garden Club, students will discuss the process of growth for insects, animals, and plants. Students will learn about seasonal changes we see this time of year and look for signs of growth and change throughout the gardens.


July 2 – “Summer Rains”

Summer rains are a vital part of weather patterns for many climates across the world. This month at Vue Crew, we will talk about water cycles in nature and how summer rains create some of the most lush, tropical landscapes on the planet.


August 6 – “Deep in the Wild Garden”

This week’s Garden Club will learn all about Longue Vue’s Wild Garden, from its history, to its design, to its ecological context. Students will learn to identify native plants and collect seeds on this wild adventure!
